Eco-friendly Environment
Our mission is to teach children to care for the environment as we care for ourselves. We are committed to protecting the environment by using eco-friendly products wherever possible in the community. We promise to cultivate a culture of reuse, reduce waste, and recycle, and to model for children how to establish a sustainable lifestyle in our community.
Toilet Learning
We envision that our Montessori community reduces trash, especially diapers, as much as possible. A disposable diaper takes up to 500 years to decompose. We recommend that all parents switch to either cloth diapers or underwear as soon as the child joins our community. This will precede the child's toilet training and help the environment. We will fully support you in the transition from disposable diapers to cloth diapers or underwear.
Healthy and Sustainable snacks for children
Our snack is all organic. Cosmos Montessori is committed to consciously purchasing sustainable products and minimizing waste. Our goal is to buy local food to help protect the planet and educate children about the benefits of shopping locally. We want to buy good local products from local farmers to support small businesses and build a sense of community.
