We had a truly wonderful experience at Cosmos. It was absolutely incredible to see how much Patrick blossomed over the year he attended - his language, his fine and gross motor skills, his grace & courtesy, and his social and emotional skills/understanding. Equally important, we felt such deep trust in Miho and her incredible intuitive abilities as a guide, and as a profoundly kind, compassionate person. It is painful as a parent to be away from your little one for much of the day, but we felt a sense of peace knowing he was in such good hands. We also felt like we learned so much from Miho with her insights about how to care for Patrick better ourselves. We adopted much of her advice in how we structured our home and our routines. We loved Cosmos so much, it is impossible to pick one favorite! Of course the fact that it is a true Montessori program focused on gifting children with respect and autonomy - this is the backbone to everything else. But also so many of the little things: We loved the songs Miho sang with the children, the outdoor time they spent learning soccer with Alejandro, the perceptive insights Miho shared every day after school, the festive celebrations of birthdays and cultural events, the food they cooked and shared together, the respectful language Miho always used with the children.. Nearing the end, we were amazed at how Patrick learned to be a leader in the classroom, practicing kindness and gentleness with the younger children. These are memories we will hold close in our hearts!

Our son has been with Miho from 1-3 yo. At the start, we were hesitant about being apart from him for the first time, but felt the opportunity for his development and socialization with other kids would be invaluable. After 2 years, the environment that Miho created helped foster Liam’s independence and confidence more than we had imagined. Just a couple of examples: he can prepare his own snacks, he was going to the potty on his own by 18 months, putting on his own shoes/jacket and by the end they were baking muffins every morning (yes, really). Liam is also very capable of recognizing his emotions and expressing himself which we believe has lead to us having a handful of tantrums or meltdowns through his “terrible twos”; which is something Miho intentionally promotes in the environment. She’s also worked with us on how to reinforce shared messaging at home during the “challenging” times. She’s excellent at balancing routine and boundaries while also nurturing our son’s natural silly/playful personality. Miho takes her work very seriously and clearly has a lot of passion for developing the infant into an expressive, independent toddler and creating the best wholistic environment for this. We definitely left Cosmos Montessori with more than we had ever anticipated and would recommend it to any of our close friends

We loved Cosmos! Ms. Miho is such a caring, thoughtful, intentional, knowledgeable, attentive and loving guide. Mr. Ale has fit very well with the environment and has offered a rare perspective to a school program. We appreciated the personal communication and care towards Anna and our whole family. We were considered as a family unit, not just Anna on an island. We appreciated the organic food provided for the children as well as the focus on sustainability and zero waste.

Ms. Miho and the team are patient and caring. They provide individualized attention, observe the children, and provide developmentally appropriate activities. They have helped our daughter become more independent and confident. Finally, they’ve been a model for us parents and have taught us so much about how to encourage independence.
